What is the difference between a Lowie Brick and a ceramic brick?

The Lowie Brick is a hybrid brick that positions itself between ceramic and concrete. The brick has the aesthetic looks of a clay brick, but has a different composition and manufacturing process. The Lowie Bricks consist of natural minerals (fine, washed-out sands) that undergo a mixing, pressing and vibrating process and are held together with a binder. Thus, unlike ceramic facing bricks, the bricks are not fired. This specific production process, together with the accelerated process of carbonation, results in a CO2 reduction of 80% compared to ceramic facing bricks.
